about us

The Packer Guthrie Federal Credit Union was formed by a committee of seven individuals on March 14, 1979.

The credit union received National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) approval on May 12, 1979. Packer-Guthrie FCU was granted charter number 23394, pursuant to the provisions of the Federal Credit Union Act. A Board of Directors was established, along with the Supervisory Committee, and the Credit Committee.

On November 6, 1989, Packer-Guthrie FCU officially changed its name to Guthrie Federal Credit Union. By the time Guthrie FCU turned 15 years old, it was already a $7.5 million credit union.
