Part-Time Member Service Representative-Troy Branch

We currently have a part-time Member Service Representative position available at our Troy office.

Vice-President of Finance

We are currently recruiting for a Vice-President of Finance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.  Five years’ experience (preferably in a financial institution) with an emphasis on accounting reconciliation and financial reporting.  In depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Credit Union regulations and financial reporting.  Must possess exceptional organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.  Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.  Minimum two years’ previous supervisory experience.  PC proficient including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as other spreadsheet and financial analysis programs.

Position Objective:

The objective is to provide oversight of the accounting department and staff.  Ensure that reports, accounts, systems, policies, and practices adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Establish, coordinate, and maintain an accounting system that properly reflects the financial position of the credit union. Directs the budgeting process and manages the ALM program, Investment Portfolio, and all related policies and procedures.  This position reports directly to and works closely with the President/CEO.

Primary Job Duties:

  1. Oversee and manage the financial, accounting, and bookkeeping functions of the credit union to include AP, AR, budgets, collections, GL, investments, financial analysis, financial reporting and recordkeeping, payroll, and taxes.
  2. Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures for the accounting department. Ensure that policies and procedures reflect current NCUA regulations and that the accounting procedures are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  3. Monitor cost control activities. Approve and implement cost control strategies as needed.
  4. Responsible for financial reporting, financial analysis, cash management, and forecasting reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to senior management and the Board of Directors.
  5. Prepare and review credit union finance projections and manage credit union investment accounting activities.
  6. Responsible for preparation of budgets and periodic analysis of budget variance.
  7. Participate in determining deposit and loan rates.
  8. Provide guidance regarding investment purchases and reporting.
  9. Hold periodic staff meetings. Identify areas for improvement, changes in procedures, new developments, or changes in services. Keep staff up to date on trends and general credit union information.
  10. Assist with negotiations and purchasing decisions for capital equipment or other capital asset expenditures.
  11. Serve as the credit union’s liaison with regulatory agency examiners and auditors.
  12. Oversee processing of payroll and benefits. 
  13. Oversee vendor management and third-party due diligence.
